P90X - Day 8

Time for round 2 of the Chest & Back routine and this time I did it.  Although I pretty much did the same amount of reps per set for all the exercises, I attribute that having just gone through a week of fitness hell.  I was sore everyday last week, which told me I was using muscles I had not used in quite some time.

My push-ups are fine.  I can pretty much hit my goal on each set.  Pull-ups on the other hand, are a pain in my arms.  My results were less than impressive, but Tony kept telling me to just "do your best, and forget the rest".  After all, the people helping him out in his video had just completed the whole 90 day program, so I thinking, this is what I have to look forward to.

All-in-all it was a very good workout.  I can tell that after a week, my cardio fitness is improving.  If this after just one week, I should be in much better shape after 5 or 6, which will help me intensify my workouts.

The one thing that is very helpful in each video, is that Tony tells you to pace "yourself".  Don't worry about keeping up with him and the others.  Heck, they are into day 100+.  You'll get there, just be patient.

You didn't get in this shape in a day, you're not going to get super-fit in a day!
